Capture a cup

Introduction.
In this two day assignment I have to take three photos using disposable cups for a company called Huhtamaki which is one of the worlds largest packaging manufacturers and are a major player in the UK disposable packaging market who sell these cups to high street coffee chains, fast food chains, vending machines and contract caterers.

I have to create image for Huhtamaki to use in a variety of foodservice trade PR and advertising activities following the 'beverage to go' brief, the winner will also win £500 and runners up could win £250 each.

Initial Ideas
  • Take a picture of someone holding the cup acting as-if it warming there hands up.
  • Lego men (toys) climbing into or around the cup.
  • Cup in front of a coffee machine with a sallow depth of field.
  • Massive stack of coffee cups all next to each other.
  • Replace a building with a coffee cup.
  • Put loads of large coffee cups on a landscape.

    Research.
I had an idea to place large Paper cups on a landscape and I then found this image on google imagers and it gave me the idea too superimpose paper cups over other items like road cones, bins and bollards.

I then Had the idea of replaceing a building with a paper cup as its more noticable than a road cone or a bin, also if I replace a building next to a building that uses the Huhtamaki products it will show other companys who uses these cups so they know that they can be trusted.
